Been busy with real life

Since my lastupdate its been really busy for me in real life hence not a lot has happened.

First of all my contract in Ireland came to an end and even though I was offered an extension it was best that I left as I had seen and done enough in Ireland and was time to go home. Packed up all my gear and on July 29 I headed to the ferry and started the journey home.

I couldn't resist the chance to meet up with Swordweaver in Ludlow and though I was 2.5 hours late (thankyou British Rail or whatever you choose to call yourselves nowadays) we got to have a meal and a pint together. Was really good to meet up after all these months of saying we must do it and see the person behind the toon.

On the Monday I headed upto London to spend some time with an old Army buddy before heading to the airport on Tuesday. Again I couldn't help meeting up with a guildie and this time took the oppurtunity to drop in on Milyenx for lunch. Again it was great to meet the person behind the toon and spend some time together even if it was only an hour or so.

Arriving back in Sweden it was great to see the wife again after all this time and to be honest EQ has taken a back seat to real life as I catch up with her and try and make the most of Summer here in Stockholm. I haven't done much raiding and nothing outside raids at all. My attendance has of course slipped badly but just before it dipped below 50% I was able to get an upgrade to my shoulders.

With the new expansion coming out I enrolled in the Beta program but Biffar wasn't copied over so I have instead started a new character. In fact I just logged him off now to do this update having done the Gloomingdeep newbie missions. Nothing to report yet except that the character selection seems a little different.

I really have no idea how my EQ will pan out the next few months as I have accepted a job offer here in Stockholm and my wife has made it abundantly clear that she doesn't like sacrificing time to the game. I am sure that this will lead to conflict so once again this could be the end.
