The attendance is slowly getting better though I still have a long way to go. Currently I am at 45% and with any luck by the end of this week I will have enough to maybe bid on something.

Was a good weekend for finishing an old quest with Biff completing Saga Skins at last when Milyenx helped me to get the last skin in Rage. Also handed in a couple of orbs for the aug quest I currently have active. Sorted the bank out a bit as dumped a bunch of tradeskill stuff on one of my mules.

Lastly ground out some more AA on Eboola and picked up 17 mainly in Plane of Fire. Spent a couple but now I have 22 saved so thats cool.

Grinding away the xp on Eboola and hit the magical 1k AA. Milyenx has been a helping get some xp for me which is great :) However he spent all the AA I had saved lol so I need to try and get another 25 AA in the next 2 weeks before the expansion comes out.

Also something very surprising happened on Sunday. I was actually asked to play Eboola instead of Biffar for DK as we didn't have enough dps online!!. More than happy to oblige I even had the bonus of picking up the following...

On another note I am still struggling to get Biffar's attendance up but also earning lots of wife faction so that when the new release comes out I will at least be able to get to 75 quickly and not fall too far behind with any flagging.

Yesterday I got a new job here in Stockholm though its only for the next 2 months. Combination of vacation last week and the fact I am back at home means my playtime has suffered and will continue to suffer as I make the most of being home. New Aug for Eboola

Rather nice Aug dropped for Eboola tonight which I picked up for the new decreased dkp cost of 5. Now that the new expansion is coming out soon we wouldn't be doing Demi Plane much more so loots are going cheap. Bit of a shame really as I rather like DS now that all the events are known.

Been busy with real life

Since my lastupdate its been really busy for me in real life hence not a lot has happened.

First of all my contract in Ireland came to an end and even though I was offered an extension it was best that I left as I had seen and done enough in Ireland and was time to go home. Packed up all my gear and on July 29 I headed to the ferry and started the journey home.

I couldn't resist the chance to meet up with Swordweaver in Ludlow and though I was 2.5 hours late (thankyou British Rail or whatever you choose to call yourselves nowadays) we got to have a meal and a pint together. Was really good to meet up after all these months of saying we must do it and see the person behind the toon.

On the Monday I headed upto London to spend some time with an old Army buddy before heading to the airport on Tuesday. Again I couldn't help meeting up with a guildie and this time took the oppurtunity to drop in on Milyenx for lunch. Again it was great to meet the person behind the toon and spend some time together even if it was only an hour or so.

Arriving back in Sweden it was great to see the wife again after all this time and to be honest EQ has taken a back seat to real life as I catch up with her and try and make the most of Summer here in Stockholm. I haven't done much raiding and nothing outside raids at all. My attendance has of course slipped badly but just before it dipped below 50% I was able to get an upgrade to my shoulders.

With the new expansion coming out I enrolled in the Beta program but Biffar wasn't copied over so I have instead started a new character. In fact I just logged him off now to do this update having done the Gloomingdeep newbie missions. Nothing to report yet except that the character selection seems a little different.

I really have no idea how my EQ will pan out the next few months as I have accepted a job offer here in Stockholm and my wife has made it abundantly clear that she doesn't like sacrificing time to the game. I am sure that this will lead to conflict so once again this could be the end.

Well we finished off Demi Plane last night and the enforcers in DK but just couldnt seem to get it going for Dk2. We were missing a mage. It seems about the only place we can reliably clear is Demi Plane as the events in PoR require the exact class mix (or so it seems). If its not clerics we miss its enchanters or mages. Always something.

Spoke to Swordweaver and arranged to meet up with him on Saturday in Ludlow for dinner :) Also going to meet Milyenx on Tuesday for lunch in Reading. Going to be fun to meet these guys :)

Been a while since I checked out my ranking on EQPlayers but seems I am 10th on AB and 69th Serverwide so still keeping my top 100 slot even though I have been slacking :)

At Last !!! A new BP and 13k Mana

Well it cost me almost all my dkp but it was worth it I can tell you. Having been on the lookout for months now for a new BP and having been beaten numerous times by being out bid I at last got myself a nice shiny new Breastplate.

I need to get a decemt Aug to put in it though as the current one is a joke at just 35/35/35. I guess I need to do a few CoA runs with Mily and Charoke to see if we can farm one for me as I still miss a couple.

When the BP dropped I was convinced that it was going to be mine considering Ashai got it so cheap the last time it dropped. However I had stiff competition from Grilon and Cold but some determined bidding from me left nobody in any doubt as to how serious I was about having it.

Seems rather apt that I get this BP because as of tommorrow my playtime is about to take a serious nosedive and may well never recover. My contract here in Dublin comes to an end at the weekend and I am heading back to the UK for a couple of days before going back out to Stockholm. Once I am reunited with my wife she has told me already to "find a new hobby" as she doesn't approve of me being in a hardcore raiding guild due to the time sink it is. I can't say I blame her but also I wll miss the game terribly.

What is most likely to happen is that I am going to have to leave Tide and play casually in what time I get doing tradeskills on Biffar and with Ebolla apply to a more casual guild such as AD and join Splosh and his brother Xebshale. Lets see how things turn out. With the BETA of the next expansion starting soon it could be fun to do a lot with that and maybe earn some nice reward item. Considering the last BETA gave out a very fun illusion this might not be a bad idea.
